New Staff Alert

New Staff Alert

Written By Kelli Barkema

Leanne will be stepping into a new role here at TFNU, She is our Communications Coordinator. She will be focusing on outreach, social media, and telling the stories of this wonderful trail community.

A little about Leanne:She is originally from GA but has been living in Utah for the past 11 years. For almost 10 of those years she lived in SLC until she moved to Ogden. Leanne decided to break out of her SLC bubble and come north! She fell in love with the beauty of Ogden Valley and was amazed by the trails up here, which led her to us. She became a member of the TFNU board because she wanted to give back to the trails and get to know the community better. One thing led to another and now she has transitioned from the board to staff!

Leanne was a wilderness guide for several years and has worked in the Outdoor Rec. field for 10+ years. Most recently, Leanne worked with the National Ability Center in Park City as their Volunteer Manager where she found a passion working with non profits and making outdoor recreation accessible to all.

Leanne’s favorite ways to get outside are paddleboarding, white water paddleboarding, mountain biking, and hiking with her family and doggos.

If you see her around “Be nice and say HI!:
