Spring Trail Mixer

Spring Trail Mixer

Written By Kelli Barkema

April 12

It’s already time for our TFNU Free Community Trail Mixer Event on Thursday, April 25th from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Monarch in Downtown Ogden.

What’s a Trail Mixer? For TFNU, our Trail Mixers are a way to invite our trail community to join us in an informational open house where we can share our plans and programs for the year, introduce our Trail Crew, present the 2024 Richard S. White Friend of The Trails Award, and answer your general trail related questions and comments.

We are also excited to share that at this Trail Mixer, we will be hosting and insider’s preview of our Northern Utah Trail User Survey. This will be your chance to weigh in on the trails you love and for you to have your voice be heard. Information gathered from the Trail Mixers preliminary survey questions will be used in addition to the full survey that TFNU will begin to distribute later this season. The results of which will be used to compile a comprehensive Trail User report that will assist TFNU in our ongoing planning efforts. The survey is an initial component of our public engagement effort and is intended to help us better understand how people use trails, what the community values are in a trail system and how we can make our Northern Utah Trails extraordinary. Our hope is that with these results, we can plan ways to improve the quality, connectivity and community support for our sustainable trail system that will balance the demand for recreation with the community’s vision for conservation, development and health.

Everyone who takes the time to fill out the survey at the mixer, will be entered into a drawing for some awesome local trail gear/products!
