National Trails Day, June 1st
May 2
National Trails Day is the first Saturday in June and recognizes all the incredible benefits federal, state and local trails provide for recreation and exposure to nature. With events held across the country, the day encourages people to discover their local trails, become active in their local trail community and to learn more about conservation and stewardship practices.
TFNU uses this day to introduce, educated and get the public excited about our local trails here in Northern Utah.
This year, in addition to our free Saturday celebration, we are also hosting 2 different volunteer trail clean up opportunities, and a guided nature hike, with a focus on the flora and fauna found on our Wasatch Front, and a group Adaptive Trail Ride at North Fork.
Also new this year, we have partnered with the Ogden Downtown Alliance and will host our event in conjunction with the Farmers Market Ogden held on Historic 25th Street in Ogden. TFNU will have vendors, booths, demonstrations, activities and more in the grassy area of the Municipal Park are of Farmers Market.
