Trails Foundation of Northern Utah is proud to announce The Richard S. White Friend of the Trails Award. Our dear friend, and long time TFNU Board Member, Richard White passed away in February of 2022 and in honor of his decades of selfless giving and volunteering for various boards and organizations in our community, TFNU, along with Richard’s family, have established this award - to be given out annually - in his honor.
The Richard S. White Friend of the Trails Award is awarded to the person or persons who have continued Richard White’s legacy with significant and lasting service that has created a culture where all have places to walk, run and ride as they enjoy nature and connect with their neighbors in Northern Utah.
Successful nominees for the Richard S. White Award will have done significant work in any one of the following areas:
The winner will receive a $500 award to be donated to a nonprofit organization of their choice that supports the mission of TFNU. Winners are announced on National Trails Day.

Nominations will be accepted until May 6th, and will be awarded during TFNU’s National Trails Day Event on June 4th, at National Trail Day Celebration.
Note: Current TFNU Board Members are not eligible for this award, but TFNU Advisory Board members may be nominated.
