Coldwater Canyon Observation and South End of BST

Alyssa reports: Last week brought snow back to the mountains, and being skiing maniacs we had to take advantage of one last powder day. We skied almost 2 feet of snow down at Brighton on May 6th, it was excellent! Tuesday brought us back out to the trail where we knocked out a big loop hike through Coldwater Canyon assessing the trail for maintenance needs. There were still a few lingering patches of snow early last week.

The rest of our work week we found ourselves down on the South end of the BST chipping away at maintenance and drainage issues, a continuation of what we have been working on. One particular spot above Weber State where the BST splits into an upper and lower leg, there is a very muddy segment, at the southern intersection. We spent quite a bit of time digging in drainage in this zone to assist the mud in drying out. Time will tell if these drains help!
